Whether you celebrate a religious Christmas, a secular version, or nothing at all, it’s undeniable that photos of pets with Santa Claus are cute. That’s why we’ve provided a list of the photo opportunities for your pet or pets to meet Kris Kringle in D.C. Note: You must send tips@dcist.com a picture of your pet with Santa. It’s a requirement.
November 23
The Washington Humane Society hosts its first Santa photo event of the season at Pro Feed Pet Nutrition Center (5104 MacArthur Boulevard NW) from noon to 3 p.m. A donation of $20 will get you a photo of your pet with a top-notch Santa, plus a magnet frame for it to go in.
December 1
DC Home Buzz (1405 Park Road NW) will host its Santa Paws charity event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring a toiletry item or article of winter clothing to donate and get a free photo of your pet with Santa. The donated items will go to Columbia Heights homelessness nonprofit Thrive DC. Sign up here.
The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City (1100 S. Hayes Street) will host a photo session for Santa and dogs and cats from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Photo packages start at $19.99.
December 7
Hotel Monaco (700 F Street NW) hosts a WHS event from 1 to 4 p.m. This event also features treats for both humans and animals.
Bethesda Row (7121 Bethesda Lane) will host a holiday photo opportunity that benefits the Montgomery County Humane Society. Noon to 2 p.m. $10 for a photo. “Spread the cheer by bringing gently used bedding, towels, and unopened food, treats and toys to help shelter animals in need. We may even have a few four-legged friends there who need a home.”
Two Olde Towne Pet Resort locations (8101 Alban Road, Springfield, Va. and 21460 Squire Court, Sterling, Va.) will host Santa pet portraits from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. “In lieu of a sitting fee, please bring a donation for our food drive, benefiting Food For Others, the largest distributor of free food in Northern Virginia. To ensure safety of all guests, please use a leash or carrier.”
December 8
The Big Bad Woof in Hyattsville (5501 Baltimore Avenue) hosts a WHS event from noon to 3 p.m.

The Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District will host a santa celebration at the 5th and K Streets NW plaza from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. “Snap your holiday photo with Santa. All kids, pets, and adults are welcome. Candy canes and dog treats provided.”
December 14
Rural Dog Rescue will host its holiday celebration day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Howl to the Chief (733 8th Street SE). The price of a photo with Santa will go to the rescue.
The Washington Hilton (1919 Connecticut Avenue NW) hosts a WHS event from 1 to 4 p.m.
Lucky Dog Rescue will hold its holiday celebration at Wagtime Too (900 M Street SE) from 6 to 9 p.m. Photo opportunities are available with both Santa and Harry Hanukkah. A $10 donation will be taken at the door.
December 15
Metro Mutts (508 H Street NE) hosts a WHS event from 1 to 4 p.m.
December 21

December 22
Big Bad Woof in D.C. (117 Carroll Street NW) hosts a WHS event from noon to 3 p.m.
