Yet another movie theater is coming to D.C. Landmark Theatres announced today that it will open a location near the 9:30 Club next year.
The six-screen cinema will be located inside Atlantic Plumbing, a mixed-use development located at 8th and V streets NW.
“We are eager to be a part of the Atlantic Plumbing development in the U Street corridor near D.C.’s popular 9:30 Club,” Landmark Theatres’ CEO and president Ted Mundorff said in a release. “Our customers are going to love what we are planning. From the indoor-outdoor café to our very high end seating, this is the perfect location for our new theatre.”
In November, Landmark announced that it would bring a theater to the NoMa neighborhood. An eight-screen Angelika Film Center is also slated to open near Union Market in 2015.
Atlantic Plumbing is expected to open in late 2015 and will feature 310 residential units, as well as restaurants, retail and artist studios.
