A 67-year-old man died while riding the Red Line last night after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Metro spokesperson Dan Stessel told the Post the Arizona man “became unresponsive as the train pulled into Union Station on its way to Glenmont.”
Metro Transit Police and the D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department were called to the scene at 5:40 p.m., Stessel said, and workers performed CPR on the man before bringing him to a local hospital.
NBC4’s Adam Tuss reports a station defibrillator, that was charged, was used on the man.
