If you’re a fan of fancy doughnuts and fried chicken, today is your day: Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken is taking their operation on the road. Today, the venerable carryout shop launched a new food truck, which will serve a rotating variety of flavors as well as coffee from Brooklyn Roasting Company.
The truck will hit the road daily beginning at 8:30 a.m.—weekends included—and will make its rounds throughout the Arlington area, according to a release. You can keep track of the truck’s whereabouts on Twitter.
Today’s truck launch features a variety of flavors —including maple bacon, PB&J, vanilla, turtle (peanuts, caramel, and chocolate), cinnamon, Brooklyn Blackout, Boston cream, and their famous crème brûlée. The truck will not, however, sell fried chicken. You’ll have to trek down to Metro Center to get that.
A publicist for Astro says they hope to expand the truck into the streets of D.C. in the near future.
