Councilmember Vincent Orange released a video in support of his mayoral campaign today that features testimonials from D.C. voters, as well as b-roll of the candidate hugging people and cutting a rug.

Yes, unless DCist is mistaken, Orange is the first mayoral candidate during this election cycle to release a video that features a little dancing.

As WAMU producer Michael Martinez pointed out, Orange’s victory dance in 2011 to Man In The Mirror was far superior.

Mayor Vince Gray also released a new campaign video this week that, sadly, does not contain any dancing.

During the 2010 mayoral campaign, then Mayor Adrian Fenty was filmed doing the Hee-Haw, and Gray was spotted doing a brief shimmy.
