U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder had a brief scare today when he was hospitalized after experiencing faintness and shortness of breath, AP reports.

According to a statement from the Justice Department, Holder was “alert and communicating,” throughout the ordeal and was discharged a few hours later. No information about what may have caused Holder’s episode was provided. Holder does not have any known medical conditions and is described as a “trim 63-year-old… known inside the department for bypassing the elevator and taking the stairs at a brisk pace to reach his 5th-floor office.”

President Barack Obama was made aware of the situation and The White House says he wished Holder a “speedy recovery.”
