Photo by lifeinthedistrictThe westbound side of Canal Road NW is closed between Foxhall Road and Arizona Avenue due to a crater in the road, according to Councilmember Mary Cheh.
From DDOT:
Westbound traffic on Canal Road NW will be directed west on Foxhall Road NW, west on MacArthur Boulevard NW, and then south on Arizona Avenue NW to reconnect with Canal Road NW.
Currently, traffic is still being allowed to travel eastbound on Canal Road NW. However, this is subject to change. Further updates will follow.
Temporary signs and traffic control measures will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public through the work zone. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel through the work zone.
