Two weeks before the Washington Monument reopens to visitors, the Old Post Office’s tower will close as the hotel prepares to be Trumpified.

“Ongoing renovation work to convert the 115 year old Old Post Office building into a hotel will prevent safe visitor access and require closing the tower and observation deck to the public for approximately two years,” the National Park Service says. The tower, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will close on May 1.

Donald Trump and his organization plans to spend $200 million to renovate the building into a hotel that will not house strip clubs or dentists.
