Norah Jones joins Wayne Shorter and a host of others on Sunday at the Kennedy Center to conclude the Blue Note at 75 festival. >> The Kennedy Center‘s Blue Note at 75 festival concludes on Sunday, and there are a number of performances happening this week. Trumpeter Terence Blanchard and keyboardist Robert Glasper lead groups on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The Millennium Stage features free performances by pianist Fabian Almazan, guitarist Lionel Loueke, bassist Derrick Hodge, drummer Brian Blade and a tribute to Blue Note by D.C.’s finest jazz musicians. >> Nnenna Freelon is a jazz singer’s jazz singer. The six time Grammy nominee has released over a dozen albums over the past two decades and has sung with The Roots, Take 6, Elton John and Andrea Bocelli. She will lead her group on Thursday at the Atlas. 8 p.m. Tickets $20-$33.50.

>> The MARS 4-tet just celebrated the release of its new album, The Blind Watchmaker, yesterday at Blues Alley. They will return to Dukem Jazz on Thursday to play selections from the recording. 9 p.m. to midnight. No cover.

>> His work with greats like Miles Davis, Elvin Jones and McCoy Tyner has given Azar Lawrence a deserved reputation as a master saxophonist. He brings his rich sound to Blues Alley on Friday and Saturday, where he leads a group through 8 and 10 p.m. sets. Tickets $37.75 plus minimum and surcharge.
>> Christian Scott‘s musical approach, which he dubs “stretch music,” has led to his being one of the most acclaimed trumpeters of his generation. >> The folks at CapitalBop have an excellent lineup for the May 2014 edition of the monthly D.C. Jazz Loft at Union Arts. Charles Rahmat Woods will start things off with a sax/drums duo before Allyn Johnson takes to the keys for a solo piano set.
