The architects tasked with redesigning the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library will talk about their vision tonight. In the above gallery are some of the preliminary designs from the team of Martinez + Johnson Architecture and Mecanoo Architecture.
Feedback will be collected tonight on the proposed changes, including “opening the brick-enclosed stairwells facing the front of the building; adding public space on the rear of the first floor; and adding a garden penthouse/public terrace.” The meeting begins at MLK tonight at 6 p.m. Feedback can also be submitted here.
