A single clouded leopard born at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in early April was recently taken from the D.C. area to Denver to begin her new life with two other leopards. How does a clouded leopard travel? Much like a domestic cat, in a carrier on an airplane — after passing through airport security, of course.
While this means the National Zoo will be deprived of another cute baby animal, it’s the leopard’s best chance to breed. Good luck, clouded leopard!
