Darlene Love, left (Radius-TWC)The options for outdoor movies in D.C. this summer continue to grow. St. Elizabeths Gateway Pavilion will host its own series, beginning with the documentary 20 Feet from Stardom on June 25.
Each of the eight films will be paired with a theme. (Check that out below.) The movies begin at 7 p.m., while “live music, contests, special giveaways, performances, and special media demonstrations” will take place beforehand. Food trucks will be on the site.
This is the only outdoor summer film series located east of the Anacostia River in D.C.

July 2: The Guardian (Military/First Responders)
July 9: Talk to Me (African American Heritage/Local Legends)
July 16: Life of a King (Returning Citizens)
July 23: My Family/Mi Familia (Latino Heritage)
July 30: Wall-E (Technology)

Aug 13: Are We There Yet? (Family Reunion)
