A woman riding on a moped scooter died this morning after colliding with a truck.

According to a Metropolitan Police Department public information officer, the accident occurred this morning at 8:25 a.m. at the 4900 block of Connecticut Avenue NW. Police haven’t released any details about the accident, but NBC4 reports that the woman, who was riding a moped, collided with a truck, and succumbed to her injuries, the PIO says.

Right now, Connecticut Avenue NW is closed between Ellicott Street and Nebraska Avenue in both directions as police investigate the accident.
