Kevin Spacey—the two-time Academy Award winner and brooding star of brooding D.C.-set Netflix series House of Cards—is coming to D.C. for a one-night only concert next month.
Spacey, who started the Kevin Spacey Foundation— which “delivers initiatives that discover, train and mentor emerging artists through free university places, funding and creative learning initiative”—will be coming to the Shakespeare Theatre on September 29 for a concert to benefit his philanthropic endeavors. According to his foundation’s website, the show will feature “an evening of stories and song” from Spacey. Also, presumably, brooding, as that’s what he’s proved he’s great at in two seasons of House of Cards.
Tickets to see Spacey “perform standards from the swing era, and popular classics from the Great American Song book accompanied by a full Big Band,” and some timeless Frank Underwood-esque brooding, aren’t cheap though. They’ll cost you $104 a piece. Update: A $2,500 VIP ticket includes an “elegant cocktail reception and supper” will follow the concert outside of Poste, where, perhaps, you can meet Spacey and he can brood over you IRL.
You can buy tickets for the concert here.
