Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman at gunpoint in Trinidad over the weekend.

The assault happened on Saturday between 7 and 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of Montello Avenue NE. The Metropolitan Police Department says in a release the woman was walking when a man approached her with a handgun and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’1” in height, muscular build, light complexion, short cut hair, clean shaven, in his twenties, wearing a white t-shirt, tan pants, and last seen in the 1600 block of Montello Avenue, NE.
