Welcome to August in October, where the temperature reaches 80 degrees and the humidity is happening.

Today’s warm and humid weather will be followed tomorrow by rain. Lots and lots of rain.

According to the National Weather Service, showers are “likely” and a thunderstorm is possible after 2 a.m.: “New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.” But tomorrow, the real rain begins. The high will be around 76 degrees and there’s a 100 percent chance of precipitation, with heavy rain possible.

Our advice: Leave the sweater at home; take an umbrella.
