A GW student with an Uber kitten. While yesterday’s Uber kitten promotion had some of you squealing (they’re so tiny!) and others grousing (cats aren’t toys!), the feline delivery was a success for the Washington Humane Society.
A spokesperson for the Washington Humane Society said Uber is still tallying the final number, but the total paid for kitten delivery is more than $1,000. Add to that Uber’s matching donation, and yesterday’s promotion will add more than $2,000 to WHS’ coffers.
WHS sent out 14 kittens in six vehicles as part of a promotion that offered 15 minutes of cat companionship for $30. Not even Congress could resist.
