With one final month left in 2014, D.C. has seen nearly 500 incidents of pedestrians and cyclists being struck, mainly, by drivers of vehicles.

In 2013, D.C. saw 12 pedestrian and two cyclist fatalities, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. That number so far this year, according to an unofficial count by Struck in D.C., is seven pedestrians and one cyclist.

Struck in D.C. recorded 437 incidents of pedestrians and cyclists being struck in 2013, while that number is already 482. Explore the map above to see where these incidents have happened.
