FRIDAY

MUSIC: Macaulay Culkin’s The Pizza Underground, a “pizza-themed Velvet Underground cover band,” is returning to The Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW). If you want to pay $15 to see them, tickets are still available. Doors at 9 p.m.

HOLIDAY: Miss Pixie’s 2nd Annual Customer Appreciation Bazaar (which, disclosure, is being organized by a friend) means free champagne and prizes at the 14th Street NW vintage furniture store. To coincide with the event, several businesses along the corridor will have holiday light displays. 5 p.m.

KRAMPUSNACHT: Krampusnacht again takes over the H Street corridor, starting with a charity walk at 7 p.m. An after-party at Gallery O on H Street (1354 H Street NE) with dancing and karaoke. $10 suggested donation.

SATURDAY

FESTIVAL: The Smithsonian’s two-day holiday festival will take place at the the National Air and Space Museum, National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of American History and Smithsonian Castle: “The festival will include concerts by the U.S. Air Force’s Max Impact, Silver Wings, and Celtic Aire, seasonal films (including The Muppet Christmas Carol), Mars Chocolate demonstrations, holiday photo opportunities, trunk shows featuring apparel, jewelry and art, book signings, festive food and hours of additional family-friendly entertainment.” Free events throughout the day.

PARADE: The city of Alexandria plays host to the 44th Annual Scottish Christmas Walk Parade (King and Royal streets), which features Scottish bagpipe bands and dogs. 11 a.m. It’s followed by the 15th Annual Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade of Lights at the city’s harbor. 5:30 p.m.

ART FIGHT: Super Art Fight’s Non-denominational Holiday Spectacular returns to the Black Cat for another year of “live art, pro-wrestling style characters and improvised commentary.” $15. Doors at 9 p.m.

JAZZ: Pianist, composer and educator Ran Blake has had a highly successful career spanning almost 50 years. He will lead a performance and masterclass on Saturday at the Atlas. The educational portion will involve Blake leading a group of established musicians, which includes area saxophonist Brad Linde, as they work through concepts from his recent book, Primacy of the Ear. 2 to 4 p.m. Tickets $15.Sriram Gopal

SUNDAY

GAMES: The American Art Museum’s (8th and F streets NW) Kogod Courtyard will be transformed into a free arcade from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thanks to MAGFest and American University’s Game Lab, Asteroids, Pac-Man, Tron, Star Wars, Arkanoid, Donkey Kong and other games will be available for free play.

PET PHOTOS: Have your pet’s photo taken with Santa at The Big Bad Woof (117 Carroll Street NW) to benefit the Washington Humane Society. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Suggested donation $20.

ART: The Downtown Holiday Market (8th and F streets NW) continues, and for one-day only, Art Enables will have a stand. Support artists with disabilities while getting some amazing one-of-a-kind art for someone on your holiday shopping list. Noon to 8 p.m.

TOUR: Get a look inside some of the fanciest houses in Logon Circle during a holiday tour. A $30 ticket benefits the Logan Circle Community Association and also includes entry to the Wassail Party at Studio Theatre. 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
