Since grand juries decided not to indict officers in the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, demonstrations across the country have occurred almost daily, including in D.C.

In the District, the Ferguson D.C. movement continues to grow, with about two dozen demonstrators rallying near the Capitol this morning. More demonstrations are planned for this week.

Tonight at 7 p.m., organizers of the Ferguson D.C. movement will host a petition kickoff for their recent petition to stop jump-outs by the Metropolitan Police Department at the Justice Center (617 Florida Avenue NW).

Prior to the Justice Center petition kickoff, there’s a march planned this evening at 5 p.m. from The White House to Dupont Circle.

On Wednesday, there will be a vigil for mothers who have lost their children to police brutality. The vigil, which is hosted by Mothers Against Police Brutality, CODEPINK, Institute for Policy Studies, National Congress of Black Women, and Hands Up D.C. Coalition, will take place at 5 p.m. at the U.S. Department of Justice (950 Pennsylvania Avenue). More info here.

The D.C. Ferguson movement also says they have “Save the Date” events planned for December 13 and January 15.
