About 50 Council staffers walked out in protest this morning.
Tomorrow at 9:15 a.m.
Candles will light 16th Street all the way from Silver Spring to the White House.
The staffers held their hands up in the air, as demonstrators do when they chant “Hands up, don’t shoot!”
“We wore the shirts just to show our condolences to the family. No matter how you look at it, we don’t know who’s right or wrong, but they still lost somebody.”
And more events are being planned for beyond this week.
