Three people are dead and three others are still unaccounted for after a small plane crashed into a home in Gaithersburg, Md. this morning.
According to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Department, the plane crashed into a home on Drop Forge Lane off of Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg this morning. The MCFRS says they received the first 911 call about the incident at 10:45 a.m.
In a press conference, MCFRS chief Steve Lohr said that the jet was carrying three people, all of whom are confirmed dead. He added that three residents of the home it crashed into are still unaccounted for.
A cause for the crash is not yet known, but the Federal Aviation administration and National Transportation Safety Board are currently investigating. We’ll update when more information becomes available.
