Valentine’s Day is coming soon, which means another evening of sitting silently in your darkened basement listening to old Smiths and Cure LPs on repeat while slowly consuming a cold pizza.

That is unless you’ve got a significant other, and you recognize and celebrate said Hallmark holiday.

But if you don’t, fear not! You’re not alone. In fact, a new report from NerdWallet concludes that D.C. is the second best city in the country for singles. NerdWallet crunched the numbers from three different factors (availability of singles, dating affordability, and social scene) to determine that second only to Boston, D.C. is the best place for singles.

According to data pulled, 70 percent of D.C. residents are unmarried, which is one of the highest rates in the country. However, the high average cost of a date ($95!) makes it not the most affordable places to take a date (pro-tip: Smithsonian museums are free and it’s easy to smuggle in a Gatorade bottle of booze).
