Heads up: Some residual delays on Metro’s Red Line after a brake problem “generated light smoke” this afternoon, Metro says.

According to Metro spokesman Dan Stessel, the malfunctioning train “generated light smoke” at the Cleveland Park, Woodley Park, and Dupont Circle stations. Stessel says the train was taken out of service when it arrived at Dupont station and moved to a rail yard.

Firefighters were on the scene to investigate the incident but quickly left when it was determined there was no fire. As of 1:25 p.m., Stessel says, all Red Line trains are moving and all stations are open.
