D.C. police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a body recovered in the water near the Tidal Basin this past weekend.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the body of an adult male was recovered on Saturday, April 11 in the water near the 1300 block of Maine Avenue SW. Upon recovery, D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel determined the person to be deceased.

Police still haven’t been able to identify the body, which is described as a black male, 30 to 50 years of age. The only identifying information found on him was a business card around his neck that said “Fuzz W.S. Fuzzy Shoe Shine Doctor.”
