D.C. police are investigating a shooting that killed one and injured another in Takoma yesterday.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers of the Fourth District responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of Butternut Street NW at approximately 1:59 a.m. When units arrived they found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was transported to a nearby hospital for his wounds, while the other was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for D.C. where he was pronounced dead.

Police are seeking the public’s help with the investigation and offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information should call (202) 727-9099 or send an anonymous tip via text to 50411.
