The 90’s are coming back, at least for one day.
For the 40th Capital Pride celebration, organizers are promising “an event unlike any other.” To that end Carly Rae Jepson is headlining an all-female concert that promises some amazing throwback dance hits, with En Vogue, Wilson Phillips, Amber, and Katy Tiz also performing.
Yes, the ladies responsible for “Don’t Let Go” and “Whatta Man,” “Hold On,” and “This Is Your Night” will have concertgoers reliving that decade harder than Buzzfeed before Carly Rae brings things more or less to the present.
The concert takes place on Sunday, June 14 between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Pennsylvania Avenue NW. It is the culminating event of more than a week of celebrations beginning June 3rd, including the annual Capital Pride Parade on June 13th.
