A shooting last night in Prince George’s County left one security guard dead and another injured, police said this morning. They don’t believe it was a random attack.

Police responded to a call around 1 a.m. at 5 Cindy Lane in Capitol Heights, Md. They transported both of the security guards to the hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The surviving guard received gunshot wounds to his lower body. The suspect fled the scene in a black Dodge Charger.

“It does not appear to be a random act of violence,” a Prince George’s County Police spokesman said.
