Shaddy (via PGPD)Prince George’s County Police extricated a man from under a tree this afternoon who was thought to trapped for as long as a week.
Larry Merton Shaddy, who was reported missing from a home down just one block away, was believed to be found in the 9000 block of Ardwick-Ardmore Road in Springdale, Md. He was last seen on July 20 and had been reported missing on July 22.
A pedestrian spotted a man wedged under the tree and called the authorities, according to the Post. Crews with the Prince George’s County fire department found the man conscious and breathing and were able to remove the tree limb. He was taken to the hospital in good condition.
A fire department spokesman Mark Brady said on Twitter that the man was suffering from exposure issues when they rescued him, so it couldn’t be immediately determined if he had been there for an entire week. It is possible, though, Brady said.
