D.C. police are investigating a series of armed robberies that occurred early Tuesday morning that they believe to be related.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, all six robberies occurred between the hours of 12:15 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28. Four of the robberies took place in Northwest, while the last two took place in Northeast.

The first robbery took place at 12:15 a.m. at the intersection of Quesada Street and Western Avenue NW. Two suspects robbed a victim at gun point. The next robbery occurred at 12:45 a.m. in the 5400 block of Connecticut Avenue NW when a single suspect robbed another victim at gunpoint. The next robber occurred at 1 .m. in the 3500 block of Albermarle Street NW, with two suspects robbing a victim at gunpoint. The last robber in Northwest happened at 1:45 a.m. in the 4200 block of Arkansas Avenue NW, where three suspects robbed two victims at gunpoint.

In Northeast, the robberies occurred within a two-minute span, at 2:43 a.m. and 2:45 a.m., in the 1200 block of G Street NE and then in the 800 block of 11th Street NE. Both robberies featured two suspects robbing a victim at gunpoint.

Police describe the suspects as black males, approximately 20-25 years-old. One was wearing a “tan or brown safari or fisherman type hat,” while the other was wearing a white T-shirt or tank-top. Both were armed with a handgun. The third suspect in the Arkansas Avenue NW robbery is described as a black male in his twenties wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Police say the vehicle that may have been used in the robberies is a “gold or tan older model passenger car.”
