We here at DCist are starting to sound like a broken record here when we say that you can’t bring weapons—especially guns—on to an airplane. And yet, people still keep trying to do so.
Most recently, TSA screeners stopped two passengers in two days from bringing guns onto their flights out of National Airport. The Associated Press reports that, on Wednesday, TSA officers discovered a loaded .45 caliber firearm, and an unloaded .32 caliber handgun on Thursday.
Both men who somehow thought they could get their guns through an X-ray machine are now facing weapons charges. So far this year, the TSA has detected six guns at National Airport checkpoints. Also, this thing at BWI.
People: stop trying to bring weapons on to airplanes.
