Pro-D.C. statehood parents are putting their children to work in the best possible way: teaching them the lyrics to the song featured on John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight segment. Then they’ll bring them to the grounds of the U.S. Capitol for a “stirring rendition” of the song.

That’s right. Stop by the Hill on Sunday at 10 a.m. and you can witness small children singing “Any choice that D.C. makes is easily suppressed/Cause some asshole with a rider who might live in Tennessee/ Can destroy a needle program for preventing HIV.”

“Yes, yes, we know [Congress] won’t be there on Sunday, but it’s recess, so they won’t be there any other day anyway. That’s what YouTube is for,” the organizers (the same people behind the wildly successful #SledFreeOrDie protest) wrote in a release.

With any luck, Eleanor Holmes Norton will include it in the Congressional briefing meant to educate her colleagues using the Oliver clip.

Organizers ask participants to bring their children promptly at 10 a.m. They’ll run through a few practice versions before getting a group shot. Time to start memorizing the lyrics.
