A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in the area of Sterling, Va. this morning.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department, the teen—who hasn’t been identified yet—was shot at approximately 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of East Cornell Drive and North Duke Street. The teen was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Post reports that the victim went to Park View High School and that the suspects—witnesses reported two or three possible ones that fled on foot—may have known the victim. Police are currently searching for the suspects.
