Day 1 of auditions in D.C. are over, but wannabe Empire stars have another chance to throw their hat in the ring.

A flashy gold bus—outfitted with a recording studio—has rolled up to Gallery Place as part of Fox’s Next Empire Artist contest, and it will be there to host auditions until 7 p.m. The winner will be featured on the show, likely sometime in the spring, in a “sing-on” role.

Singers who can’t make it in person are also encouraged to submit their auditions online before the season premiere on September 23.
