A woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint early Saturday morning after she entered a car thinking it was an Uber.

The woman got into the vehicle between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. in the 3500 block of Macomb Street NW, according to D.C. Police. The suspect, described as a Middle Eastern man in his early thirties with black curly hair, pulled out a knife and sexually assaulted the woman before she was able to escape.

The car, which the woman initially believed was from Uber, was described as a four-door silver sedan.
