The Martin Luther King Jr. library has been evacuated as police investigate a suspicious package in the 900 block of G Street NW.
The call came in around 12:26, according to a police spokeswoman. DCPL spokesman George Williams confirmed that the library has been evacuated and said they don’t have an estimate of when they’ll be allowed back in. About 330 library employees, which include librarians, facilities staff, and administrative staffers, were evacuated along with the public, according to Williams.
