Beginning on November 9th, Rose’s Luxury will begin offering reservations to parties of 6-8 diners inside of its main dining room.
Reservations at Aaron Silverman’s incredibly well-regarded and famously long-lined dining spot on Barracks Row will become available at 11:00 a.m, every Monday. Those looking to secure a table can reserve up to three weeks from that date. The move, which is sure to please those who have spent countless hours waiting in line while the rest of their party takes their sweet time, requires that guests order a $55 per-person tasting menu curated from the regular a la carte offerings.
When asked about what led to the decision to offer group reservations, Silverman replied via email, “We were able to figure out a way to make that work without impacting all the other guests in the restaurant.”
He added that offering a tasting menu negates questions about how much food is appropriate to order for a group, and does away with the difficulty of splitting a large bill at the end of the meal. Maybe more important than anything though, all group reservations must be made through the website, meaning that large tables cannot be booked by professional line-standers such as those who utilize Task Rabbit.
Meanwhile, Rose’s private roof garden dining space will be closed in order to enclose it with a retractable greenhouse. They hope to have construction completed by early 2016, and that the enclosure will allow them to utilize the space year-round, regardless of weather.
