The Washington Football Team engaged in some serious “what-about-ism” last week, arguing in a profanity-laden brief that its name was no more offensive than many other trademarks that haven’t been cancelled.

In a legal filing to appeal a judge’s decision to uphold the cancellation of its trademark, the team listed a litany of porn websites and other products with names that could be deemed, “racist, or misogynistic, vulgar, or otherwise offensive.”

The list was perfect fodder for John Oliver, who took advantage of HBO’s lax rules on language to read the other trademarks in full during Last Week Tonight.
