An adult male was hit by a Metro bus today, according to a Metro spokesperson.

The incident occurred at 1:55 p.m. at the intersection of Southern Avenue SE, which borders D.C. and Maryland, and Indian Head Highway. The mirror of the bus that was riding along the P18 route made contact with the unidentified man. He is now conscious and breathing, according to Metro. The victim, local authorities, and medics are still on the scene.

As of now, Metro has no information on how the accident happened.
