It’s the last week of 2015 and D.C. weather is making its exit on a mild note.
While we’re quite blistery in the 40s today, temperatures will climb Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the Capital Weather Gang. Wednesday’s forecast is the warmest with highs in the 60s.
Still, you can expect showers through Wednesday—and as we learned last week, downpours can cause everything from flight delays to ice rink closures.
But the rain will cease come New Year’s Eve and cooler air will bring temps to the low-to-mid 50’s on Thursday, which is milder than normal.
Wintry weather will finally say hello over the weekend and continue to stick, with highs on New Year’s Day around 40-45 degrees with partly sunny skies.
Plan accordingly and Happy New Year!
