The Jefferson Hotel made a significant leap this year on U.S. News and World Report’s list of the best hotels in the country. Coming in at number two on 2016’s list, the “household name” in the District placed number 10 in 2015 and number 99 in 2014.

A classic room—the hotel’s smallest offering (though it prefers the term “intimate”)—features a queen bed and Italian marble bathroom, according to the Jefferson’s site. During this time of the year, that’ll run you about $357/night. One of the hotel’s more grandiose options, The Thomas Jefferson Suite, has a bedroom, master bathroom, sitting room, study, living room, kitchen, powder room, and dining room. This room will set you back $8,000/night (before tax).
