After looking at “anonymized trip data,” Uber published a list today highlighting some of the top spots for dining by the company’s users since January. The post features four restaurants in each of seven neighborhoods across the city.
One of last year’s best new bars, riders have flocked to Provision No. 14 in the 14th Street Corridor. Nearby, Barcelona is also a favorite with its imaginative cocktail list and Spanish-influenced wine collection. Pearl Dive and Birch & Barley rounded out this list.
Riders who head downtown make stops for meals at Chef José Andrés’ Zaytina. NY-based Momofuku, which started running its lunch service late last year, is a popular destination as well, much like its sister bakery Milk Bar. Downtowners also flock to longtime staples Founding Farmers and Old Ebbitt Grill.
Further east in NoMa and the H Street Corridor, Masseria, one of last year’s best new restaurants (along with Momofuku) is a hit for riders searching for a dish. Boundary Road with its inexplicably good tomatoes on its BLT, made the list as well. Bistro Cacao, and non-traditional sushi purveyor Sticky Rice capped this Northeast area’s favorites.
The post also shares 16 other popular food destinations for Uber customers in Georgetown, U Street Corridor/Shaw, Southwest Waterfront/Navy Yard, and Adams Morgan/Columbia Heights.
And if you still don’t know where to go, some D.C. food and media folk recently said they’d eat their last meals at some of these aforementioned spots.
