A teenage girl jumped onto the train tracks at Eastern Market Metro station this morning, according to the Metro Transit Police Department.

A person called for help at the station around 8:21 a.m., The Washington Post reports. According to transit police, the train was able to stop before hitting the young woman, and she did not sustain any visible injuries.
While the Orange, Blue, and Silver Line trains are running back to normal, passengers can expect residual delays, according to Metro.
Org/Blu Line: No longer single tracking. Residual delays continue in both directions due to an earlier medical emergency at Eastern Market.
