President Barack Obama will deliver the keynote address at Howard University’s commencement ceremony this year.

“It is an extraordinary honor and privilege,” said Howard President Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick in a release. “President Obama’s own legacy gives the Howard Community great expectations for the leadership footprint it will leave on America and the globe.”

Obama will receive the honorary Doctor of Laws degree—the highest honor—from the university, on the same day that the school will bestow 1,300 Bachelor’s Degrees, more than 300 Master’s, and more than 100 Ph.Ds, according to Howard. The university is giving honorary degrees to Ambassador Horace Greeley Dawson Jr., actress Cicely Tyson, and physician L.D. Britt.

Commencement takes place on Saturday, May 7. Howard’s website for the event has a clock counting down to the second until the ceremony begins.
