NoMa’s annual outdoor movie series returns in just a few weeks with a mix of classics and newer films.

Movies are subtitled, and they begin at sunset every Wednesday for 13 weeks. As in the past, the NoMa Summer Screen series is free and open to all. Here’s the full schedule:

  • June 1: Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark (PG)
  • June 8: Princess Bride (PG)
  • June 15: Guardians of the Galaxy (PG-13)
  • June 22: Jumanji (PG)
  • June 29: Fast Five (PG-13)
  • July 6: Pee Wee’s Big Adventure (PG)
  • July 13: Life of Pi (PG)
  • July 20: O Brother, Where Art Thou? (PG-13)
  • July 27: E.T. (PG)
  • August 3: Apollo 13 (PG)
  • August 10: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (PG-13)
  • August 17: Jurassic Park PG-13

In the event of inclement weather, August 24 is reserved as a rain date.

For the second year in a row, the screenings will take place at Storey Park Lot (1005 First Street NE). And since it’s an asphalt lot, moviegoers are encouraged to bring low chairs or blankets. Picnics and coolers are also allowed, though they “reserve the right to escort you off the site if you get too rowdy.” Food trucks will also be on hand.
