The Metropolitan Police Department has released a video in connection to violent robbery near Howard University. The incident took place March 20 in the 2600 block of Georgia Avenue NW around 4:15 a.m.
The victim and a suspect were involved in an argument that escalated to an assault, according to MPD. Soon after, police report that several other suspects began to assault and rob the victim. The video shows a group of people punching, throwing to the ground, and kicking the victim before fleeing.
Police are also searching for a suspect, described as Asian or Hispanic male in his 30s, who they say stabbed a high school student in the leg yesterday in a robbery incident in the 3900 block of Chesapeake Street NW.
