Starting Friday, Metro’s scheduled weekend track work will include phases of the year-long SafeTrack plan. The first surge affects Orange and Silver Line trains, which will be single tracking between East Falls Church and Ballston from Saturday until June 16. Here’s a detailed map of what’s being impacted.

Riders can also use Metro’s trip planner for guidance—it’s been adjusted to account for maintenance delays. But if you’d like to ditch the rail system altogether, transit services like Uber, Lyft, and car2go are offering supplemental deals throughout the year.

As for this weekend, the Orange and Silver Lines will run every 18 minutes. Plus, the Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow Lines will operate every 8 to 18 minutes.

Also part of SafeTrack, Metrorail will close on midnight beginning on Friday.
