Just in case you didn’t get enough poke (that’s “poh-kay” to the uninitiated) from Poke Pop when they popped up at Prequel (918 F Street NW) for a few days back in May, you can get your hands on their Hawaiian-style raw fish and rice bowls again starting today. They’re popping up again at restaurant incubator Prequel, this time for the rest of June.

After a favorable reception last month, Chef Kevin Tien is working with his team on several flavor profiles, including a Vietnamese version with cold-smoked yellowtail, pickled carrots, cucumber, daikon, and a nuoc cham dressing based on the classic lime dipping sauce, and a Mexican bowl featuring house-cured Atlantic salmon, pico de gallo, avocado, chili crema, and cilantro lime vinaigrette.

And if the vegetarians out there were thinking they’d have to pass up the poke craze entirely, be assured that Poke Pop actually offers a tofu-based version of every bowl.

The pop-up will be open Monday through Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. throughout the month of June at Prequel (918 F St. NW).
