>> Vocalist Lori Williams performs at the Jazz & Cultural Society on Thursday. 6 to 9 p.m. $10 at the door.
>> Like so many musicians, Kenny Garrett got his big break by playing with the iconic Miles Davis. Thirty years later, he is rightfully considered one of the all-time great saxophonists, and he will be at Blues Alley for a four-night run that begins on Thursday. 8 and 10 p.m. sets. Tickets $30-$35 plus minimum and surcharge.
>> Keyboardist Greg Lamont leads a band in tribute to soul jazz pianist Gene Harris on Friday at Jazz Night in Southwest. 6 to 9 p.m. $5 at the door.
>> New York-based guitarist Ethan Mann leads his trio on Saturday at Bloombars as part of the DC Jazz Festival’s Jazz in the ‘Hoods lineup. 8:30 p.m. $15 suggested donation.
>> Saxophonist Paul Carr performs at the Jazz & Cultural Society on Sunday. 6 to 9 p.m. $5 at the door.
>> Polish saxophonist and composer Maciej Obara burst onto the European jazz scene in 2006. He is touring the States and will be at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club on Monday. 8 p.m. Tickets $20 plus minimum and surcharge.
