Two maned wolves have made their way from Denver to the Smithsonian National Zoo, bringing the sociable species back to the District. The zoo tweeted a video today of the two-year-old brothers, Mateo and Quito, getting familiar with their new habitat.

Originating in central South America, maned wolves are considered a “threatened” group of animals by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. There are about 20,000 of them left in the wild, according to the zoo.

Last October, the zoo announced that its two former maned wolves both died around the same time. According to The Washington Post, one died of natural causes and the other died of cancer.

You can find Mateo and Quito at the zoo’s Cheetah Conservation Station.
